Asian Gambling Resorts

s had given a spurt to the industry in this part of the world. Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Singapore, India etc. all have superb possibilities for gambling and they are coming up with gambling destination along with all the works.

Gambling might have taken up slow on the Asian grounds because of its importance as a tourist destination. But the answer too lies in the problem. Tourism-Gambling. The hot destination for national and especially international tourists in India is Goa. It offers fabulous outings and exotic beaches to the sun lovers. It is fast coming up with full service casinos and the main attraction is the floating casinos that take the gamblers away in to the sea.

Singapore had not given legal sanction to gambling u till 2005. But looking at the trends in other Asian countries it decided to. The tourist inflow in Singapore is very high and as a shopping destination it attracts people from all over the world. The casinos will now be mushrooming all over the place and the tourists as well as the locals can enjoy the fun betting. Singapore can be called to have adopted a very competent and open policy towards gambling. They are improvising on the gambling services in order to compete with best in the business.

Although Chinese people are mad about gambling, but the practice is completely illegal in china. Having a communist regimen the greater good was seen in not letting the poor into this social vice. However they are into games of chance and they have made popular these games throughout the world. It remains to be seen whether they are ever going to adopt gambling in all its vigor and glory.

The influence of the oriental culture can also be seen on the games that are played in the casinos of Asia. Apart from the usual games like poker, blackjack, lotto etc. there are indigenous games that are played in the casinos of Asia. For example there is “PaiGow” which in Cantonese means nine. This is a very difficult game to play and understand. It is commonly played at the casinos of South East Asia. The use of tiles instead of cards is very common in Asia. For example the traditional gamble of china ‘Maha Jong’ requires a player to assemble the like pairs of tiles to score over the other. Instead of the illegality of gambling in China, it is played throughout China.

Then there is ‘Sic Bo’ which is a mixture of roulette and dice game. Thus it is simpler and thus followed by more people. Asians are thus coming up with fantastic destinations and offers for the traveling gamblers. It is yet to compete with the Las Vegas clubs but the owners of such establishments too are heading towards the more lucrative and virgin markets of Asia. Soon enough the Asians will see the gambling industry loom large.

Gambling in Asia

While many religions and moralists may object to the act of gambling, it cannot be denied that it could, through proper legalization and monitoring, benefit nations as a whole. Illegal gambling may pose problems to a society, but as many nations are slowly discovering, its legalization coupled with proper controls can, in fact, turn out to be a better solution.

Around the world, western countries like the United States of America remains to be the few places to earn revenue through legal gambling. This, however, does not mean that Asian countries are missing out this big opportunity. Already countries like Macau are advancing in their ‘gambling industry’, reaping about US$2.5 billion in early of year 2011. Of course, Macau, otherwise known as the ‘Monte Carlo of the Orient’ is quite unique, having had legalized gambling since the 1850s and is still the only Chinese territory that fully allows gambling. In fact, gambling is what boosts its tourism sectors, making it Macau’s biggest source of income.

Other countries, having witnessed the lucrative benefits, slowly but surely followed suits. In Malaysia, it is legal to gamble as long as it is operated under government permit or license; gambling at homes or in public places are considered as illegal. However, the legality of gambling are also restricted to certain ages and religions – one must be a non-Muslim and over the age of 18 in order to enter any legal gambling premises. By far, Genting Highlands’ casino resorts still draw large group of ‘tourists’, most of them from neighboring countries.

One of these neighboring countries happens to be Singapore, who used to be an anti-gambling nation. As a result, most gambling Singaporeans would travel to Malaysia and few came home with a fortune. Pressured to retain those income within Singapore as well as to boost the tourism industry, Singapore finally lifted its gambling ban in year 2005 and the very first Singapore casino was opened to public in early year 2010. The billions of dollars poured into this economy certainly did not disappoint; not only have the casinos vastly improved the country’s tourism but it was also predicted that Singapore may take over Last Vegas’ spot of the world’s second largest gambling hub.

But there is yet another up and coming Asian country that will attempt to knock Singapore off its glorious seat, and may just as well do so successfully. The Philippines generated about US$69.58 million in gambling industry in early year of 2011, all thanks to their gambling-favored laws that allow both offline and online casinos. There has yet to be any precedence or law that prevents the legitimization of online gambling. This is not surprising as gambling not only brought in tourists and income, it is also indirectly brought in foreign investors, something that the Philippines are lacking. However, legal online gambling sites are limited to only foreigners while Filipinos can gamble away at any government owned sites.

With more Asian countries slowly opening up to the idea of an industry for legal gambling, it may not be long before Asia become the main port in gambling tourism. Even now, the Asia market is slowly increasing and more people are flocking over for an integrated experience – from traveling, sightseeing, and all the way to gambling.

Casino Games – Games of Chance for Asians – More Than Just A Game

Practically all the Asian countries at present consider or reconsider their views as regards the gambling games industry. In the first turn, it is connected with the fact that the profit obtained from a casino and other gambling establishments in those states where they are legalized is constantly growing which provides the budget with the necessary cash means and increases thus the tourist attractiveness of these countries.

Asians spend on games of chance approximately 14 milliard US dollars per year. It includes both a casino game and stakes for races, totalizators and lotteries as well as all sorts of illegal bets. In 2010 it is expected that they will spend 23 milliard US dollars annually. In the first place, interest in gambling games on the part of Asians is determined by their disposition, mentality of the nations. Playing a game of chance they not only try to win money – they check their luck, fortune, destiny. Fast-growing economics of Asian countries, swell in population (especially in China), growth of tourist activity are also responsible for growing demand for gambling games.

The state authorities are well aware of it all. The industry of gambling games is profitable for them not only as a revenue side of the budget as well as workplaces for citizens, additional attraction for tourists. Speaking of Macao, a Chinese enclave, where casinos are legal and are the authorities’ principal income, more than 10 million tourists who arrive with the main objective to play, spend money still not only on gambling entertainments but also on the rest of the related services. It is also a significant advantage for the state. Nowadays a lot of people are sure that if casinos should be legalized then they must be full-scale entertainment centers – with shops, movies, restaurants, exhibitions and etc.

Anxiety as regards social woes which somehow or other are a consequence of gambling games prevents statesmen from any steps in connection with revision of the law about gambling business. Some governments would like to reduce negative social influence by limiting access of local residents to casinos and locating casinos in remote areas. However, this, according to expert opinion, is not a way out of the situation, since venturesome Asians will simply play in clandestine gambling establishments.

Which does happen successfully in those countries where the harshest laws are established regarding gambling business. Or there is always an opportunity to get to a neighboring country and leave money there. Thailand is particularly illustrative here, casinos are prohibited there, so right at the border on the territory of neighboring Cambodia, about 20 casinos await venturesome Thais.

The supporters of legalization of casinos as well as other forms of gambling games state that people having problems with gambling games have actually got them. In fact, having legalized casinos the problems will come to the surface. And this, of course, is better than unawareness of what is going on.

To understand what influence gambling business has on the population a lot of Asian countries did research in the course of the recent years, representatives of authority went to world centers of entertainment such as Las-Vegas and Atlantic-City to get personally reassured in the necessity and inevitability of casinos’ legalization. The Asian market of gambling games is claimed by practically all the leading casinos’ operators. These include both companies which own mega resorts in Las-Vegas and European, South-African and Australian firms.

Online Casino Gambling in Asia

The concept of online casino gambling had actually began in the islands of Caribbean. It was in 1994 when Antilles Island became the catalyst for the industry of online gambling. It was also on that same year when Antigua, an island located in the West Indies, voted in favor of a bill that will regulate licenses for Internet gambling. Looking back at its origins, you can merely see how online gambling has popularized. And now, those casino sites have been around for along period of time, providing you with the best online gambling experience.

Perhaps one of the areas wherein online casinos have been widely opened is in Asia. Since 900 A.D, Asians have been heavily attached to recreational activities. In fact early Chinese is believed to be the first people who invented playing cards. Aside from having a great passion for gambling, Asians were also equipped with skills that works well in casino table games. They are as well one of the fast-developing markets for internet gambling.

Online casino gambling in Asia has been the hottest topic for industry experts nowadays. They even concluded that the region is the best place for online gambling developments in the present and in the future.

Basically, the development of online gambling in Asia started when the first Asian online casino was introduced in year 2000. However, a series of dilemmas have been encountered before the Asians achieved a fully-developed market. This is probably because some professionals in the industry is heavily restricting the implementation of the said concept. But this didn’t make the Asians hopes down. They even strengthened their aim to make online gambling a regulated activity to prove the government that prohibiting their plans will make no good at all.

As online casinos brought more interest to Asian people, a few casino games were being offered as an online game. Like in China wherein their 4,000 year old card game, Mahjong, is now being played in some online casino sites. And although internet gambling is not fully legalized, Chinese Mahjong players can’t help themselves from entering in sites that offer this ancient game. Moreover, another Asian country that is hardly benefiting from online casino gambling is Japan. Japan is currently under an economical crisis. As supported by the Liberal Democratic Party, the country is looking for effective ways on how to lessen their financial problems. And as a result their government is expecting online casino operators to help them in this dilemma.

Many Asian countries today are tending to adopt a Western theme for their areas. In fact, Philippines and Macau are being called as the ‘Oriental Monte Carlos’ and ‘Little Vegas’.

Online Gambling in Atlantic City

For better or for worse, online gambling is coming to New Jersey.

In late February, Chris Christie officially signed into law a bill that legalized internet gambling in Atlantic City.

Initially the bill was vetoed by the Governor because of issues surrounding transparency and taxes. Lawmakers adjusted the text and the amended bill passed by an overwhelming majority in the legislature and earned Christie’s seal of approval.

Here are the basics of the bill:

- Casinos located in Atlantic City will be able to apply for a license to offer online gambling. Only the twelve official Atlantic City casinos will be eligible for the license. No other organizations can offer internet gambling, and face stiff fines if they do. All facilities used for the operation of internet gambling must be located within city limits; only bets that are received by a server in Atlantic City will be legal.

- Players must be “physically present” in New Jersey to place wagers. In the future, New Jersey may develop agreements with other states where internet gambling is legal to permit out-of-state gambling. The casino’s equipment must verify players’ locations before accepting wagers.

- Any games available to play in the casinos can be played online. (For comparison, Nevada only allows poker.) As of now, sports betting will not be protected by this bill, although the state of New Jersey is trying to fight the federal statute barring the legalization of sports betting.

- The bill has all kinds of provisions to keep gambling addiction at bay, such as requiring the prominent display of the 1-800-GAMBLER hotline number, a way to set maximum bets and losses over a certain period of time, and tracking player losses to identify and limit users who may demonstrate addictive gambling behavior.

- Revenue from online gambling will carry a 15% tax. The Christie administration states that about $180 million in revenue for the state will be generated from this tax, but some analysts think this number is seriously overestimated.

The official regulations, which the bill required the Division of Gaming Enforcement to produce, were released on June 3, and are subject to a “public comment period” until August 2 before being finalized. These rules include details such as how a casino acquires the appropriate licenses and procedures for maintaining network security on gambling sites.

So, will online gambling actually benefit the state?

The Good

Revenues from Atlantic City casinos have been on the decline for the past seven years, and online gambling could be what saves the failing casinos. Since 2006, casino revenue has dropped from $5.2 billion to around $3 billion. Online gambling could be a $500 million to $1 billion industry in New Jersey, which may be enough to keep struggling casinos afloat and save jobs in Atlantic City. Further, even though estimates of tax revenue are all over the map, there is potential for online gambling to be a considerably valuable source of money for the state. The casinos will also have to pay a tax to the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, which will provide further assistance to struggling casinos in Atlantic City.

For the player, low overhead costs mean better prizes and more opportunities to play. Casinos can incent players with free “chips” that have minimal costs for them but give players more opportunities to play and win. The convenience of gambling online allows players to play more with less travel.

BAD:

One of the goals of the bill is supposedly to attract more people to visit the brick-and-mortar casinos, but it is hard to say if online gambling will actually lead to this outcome. One could speculate it could even cause people to go to the casinos less (However, this seems unlikely; the social element and the free drinks are lost in online gambling. Also, research indicates that, at least with poker, internet gaming does not reduce casino gaming.) Advertising for the host casino will be allowed on the online gambling sites, which could possibly encourage people to visit the casino but could also be annoying for players.

Online gambling could be seriously devastating for people who have gambling addictions, or even cause people to develop them, raising financial and moral concerns. Even with all the preventative steps the bill requires, it will definitely be much harder to cut off compulsive gamblers if they can place bets anywhere with an internet connection.

How to Make Money From Home – Make Money From Your Computer Gambling Online

I’ve been working right out of my living for over eight months now. There are quite a few ways I’ve used my computer to wrangle some extra income – from building my own websites, to playing the stock market, to finding freelance work with sites like GetAFreelancer and Guru. Today though, I’m going to talk about my favorite way to bring in some dough: playing tournament poker.

I’ve played poker for almost ten years, but it wasn’t until a couple years ago that I started to really understand some complex concepts. (One funny thing I noticed when I started to learn good investing strategy is that it’s very similar to good poker strategy! It makes sense, I guess, since they both involve good money management.)

Expert poker is built upon three basic levels of thought:

1. What do I have?

2. What does my opponent have?

3. What does my opponent think that I have?

It can go on forever from here, of course, since the next one would be “What does my opponent think that I think he has?” and so forth – but this is where it starts. Let’s address these in turn.

(1) What do you have? Obviously your hand strength is an important variable, but it’s not the most important. If you have a lock, your main concern is maximizing your profit. With a lemon, it’s easy to let it go. The tough part is making the most of it when you have a hand you’re not sure about. This is where the experts show their strength.

(2) What does my opponent have? If your opponent has nothing, it doesn’t even matter what you hold. You can’t get paid off on your quad sixes if he missed his flush anyway. Figuring out how much your opponent is willing to invest is a crucial part of determining your betting size.

(3) What does my opponent think that I have? An astute player will recognize when he is beat much more quickly. By paying attention to how your opponent responds to certain situations, and by examining points 1 and 2 closely, you should be able to make an educated guess as to how to approach them. A good player might throw away that flush if you bet your quads too strongly; another player might think a tiny bet screams “call me!” but he’ll pay off that huge, “obvious bluff”.

I made over $15,000 dollars playing poker in six months, and I never played a tournament larger than $50. Check out sites like 2 + 2 Publishing and PocketFives for forums and links to online poker sites. Poker is the new sport, except now anyone can be an athlete – right from home!

If you need money now, like I mean in the next hour, try what I did. I am making more money now than in my old business and you can too, read the amazing, true story, in the link below. When I joined I was skeptical for just ten seconds before I realized what this was. I was smiling from ear to ear and you will too.

Gamble Online – Casinos to Blame?

Over the last decade, the use of Net has magnified. Who could envisage life without Internet? And along with the usage, the spending has also exploded. In 2007, an approximated $12bn dollars has been spent on Gamble websites web sites. That’s a super industry – it’s more than the yearly budget of many second and third world countries.

Nevertheless, is it an issue with the casinos or with the players? Is the regular online gambler your common well forgotten pub slots gambler? It is easy to ponder these types of questions, and there aren’t any statistics available to get the answers. And one is able to simply speculate.

Just to add to the statement from personal experience – I should be one of the most susceptible people and should have become an online zombie ages ago. I have smoked, quit and began again and quit once more, have too much alcohol and lose too much in bars and clubs buying booze for my friends. I lose quite a bit in casinos. I tried playing on the Net, won many times and lost many, and had a pretty nice time in general. Nevertheless I did not get dependent on gambling on the Net, I really did not enjoy it that much frankly. It’s not like I started to waste more, or play more.

Might very well be entirely contrary for someone else, I’m sure there are heaps of people on this planet who want to blame casino websites for spending their fortunes online, and that these websites must be closed and so it goes.

Gambling Online Is Just Like the Real Thing

This rise has mirrored that of bricks and mortar casinos themselves. These were once considered rather shady establishments, where a variety of characters of various degrees of repute came together to try to settle scores over a few games of cards or the roulette table. Today, most towns and cities have a selection of such establishments where people can enjoy the undoubted thrill of pitting their wits against others, or simply of playing a game of pure chance. The UK casino scene has never been more vibrant, and this has been aided by the arrival of a ‘virtual’ equivalent.

Here, because they are online establishments, a much wider range of games of chance are offered. Would-be players simply have to sign up, and deposit a certain amount of money, which entitles them to credits to play casino online. The appeal of UK casino and playing online is largely down to this variety of ways of joining in the fun. While the traditional card and roulette games are offered, there are also many variants of electronic slot machines, and enough variations of games of chance or skill to keep anyone happy for hours.

A good level of online support is also common to many online UK casino set-ups. There are also numerous forums, in which participants can share their experiences, chat with fellow players, and who knows, possibly even make new friends. Sites are carefully moderated, and every online UK casino is keen to be seen to uphold high standards of behaviour among its members, as it is in their interests to offer as safe an environment as possible which will be welcoming and not intimidating or threatening to new players.

It is also common for new members to be offered welcome bonuses and inducements to join a UK casino site, usually in the form of a number of free plays or credits. This is so that anyone can try them out, and get an idea of how they work before committing themselves to a full membership.

Starting Out Gambling Online

Everywhere you glance on the internet, you’ll find this casino saying they have the biggest payments, this online casino telling you they produce the most profitable members, and yet another one claiming they will give you the best overall gaming sessions. They each seem to have piles of great claims, while providing little reason to back them up.

Yet, how can you, the regular person, figure out which ones are giving you the truth, and who is simply feeding you a line? Well, many of these web sites ARE telling the truth when they say they give the title of best this or that. The trouble is the rest of the categories. For instance, sure, they might just feature the lowest commission cut of any casino out there. But how could it matter if they fail to give you the opportunity to make any money to begin with? Remember, even 85% of nothing is still 0.

So the destination here, is not just to come across the casino to handle your gambling on the web that is great in a single area, but it’s to find the one that is the most harmonious. Maybe they aren’t really exceptional in any one area, a well-rounded gambling casino that provides a wide-spread good time is usually perfect.

The best place to get info about a particular gambling casino (or simply which casino is the most advisable choice) is from the other people who have been there.

Gambling Online Choices

For persons who love to take a risk with their understanding and well planned guesses, there’s sport betting. For persons who like to read other people and react to their faults, there’s poker. And the list of choices never ends. There are a bunch of sites out there that provide multiple betting options also, and those that do not usually have affiliate sites that persons could play at through the exact same company.

Every internet gambling web site asks a person to register for the web site before they could begin to gamble. This sign up is pretty much always free and are risk free for the user. Until someone actually places money onto the site, the only information that the computer will have registered is the password, user name, and email address that the person used to make the acount. Credit card number does not come into play until the new bets are made. Individuals could play as long as they want for free till they eventually choose to plunge into the real money bet making world.
